Online, Inc. (GFO) is a private corporation, not a government agency.
It has created this privacy statement to inform its users of how it treats
information about users.
No Cookies
We do not place cookies on computers. A "cookie" is a file that some
Internet sites place on a user's computer to obtain information about the
user and its usage patters. GFO does not do this. (Some of the search
engines listed on the Links page (Other Search Engines) may place cookies on
computers, but we have no control over them.)
Minimal Information
When users visit our Web sites
some information is automatically logged into Web servers. This applies to
all Web servers on the Internet. The information includes the Internet
address of the site that referred the user to us, the user's IP address, and
the specific Web pages on our site that were visited by the user. The
information does not usually contain the names of individual users.
Order Information
When orders are placed for our
goods or services, users must furnish names, addresses, phone numbers, email
addresses, and similar information. If payment is by credit card, they must
also furnish credit card information. We keep all such information
confidential and do not share it with others unless required to do so by
law; however, because of the nature of the Internet we cannot assure that
others do not have access to this information.
Secure Credit Card Ordering
The credit card payment system we
use for processing credit card orders uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
technology for secure credit card ordering. Before entering a credit card
number, users can verify this by making sure that the Internet address of
the address page as it appears in the user's Internet browser address bar
begins with "https" rather than the usual "http".
How We Use the
Information
What little information we gather is stored indefinitely and uses for
various internal purposes such as processing transactions, obtaining payment
for our goods and services by credit card, customer service, product and
service enhancement, marketing analysis and other valid business purposes.
Agreement
By using this Web site, users
agree that information we collect from this site may be retained
indefinitely, may be stored and accessed and used by us.
